Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. Shortly after beginning her career as a model she soon transitioned into acting after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came with the show Nowhere, released in 1997. After her performances of American Beauty (for which she was awarded the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her much attention, she completed her transition into major role. In 2000, she starred in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the leading part in Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun the independent drama from 2002, and the Trauma, a (2004) thriller were both prominent in her work. The year 2004, she starred in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble.
